Thelma Houston rocked the studio Wednesday night on NBC’s ‘America’s Got Talent.’ The program drew an estimated 15.8 million viewers, according to Nielsen ratings released on Thursday.

Houston opened the show with her song “Don’t Leave Me This Way,” which was a number-one hit in 1977. Houston would go on to win a Grammy in 1978.

After 43 years in the spotlight, her music remains in high demand.

Today Thelma Houston is 66, and she has no plans of retiring or slowing down.

Houston has become a popular artist at pride events.
