5,500 gay, bisexual and transgender male and female amateur athletes are gathered in Copenhagen (July 25-Aug 2) for the 2009 World Outgames.
The athletes compete in 38 different disciplines including same sex dancing, rowing and synchronized swimming in the historic harbor of Copenhagen. The athletes are from France, Australia, The Netherlands Germany and the United States.

No, the event held in Copenhagen was the Outgames, not the Gay Games. The next Gay Games will be held from 31 July to 7 August 2010 in Cologne, Germany. http://www.games-cologne.com
