Saturday the Center Orange County held its Gala 2009.  The event was a Hollywood-like fundraiser in Irvine, California.

Actors Jane Lynch, of “The L Word” and Peter Paige, of “Queer as Folk” were honored with the Torch Bearer Awards.

The Center Orange County provides services to gays and lesbians in Orange County.  The group provides HIV testing, youth program support, and mental health services.  “We hope to raise $100,000 at this event,” said Ginger Hahn, executive director of The Center Orange County.
