Sue Simmons, of WNBC-TV, does her annual groundhog impression

News anchor, Sue Simmons, of WNBC in New York is well known for her annual-groundhog imitation.

Around 7:30 a.m., Phil, Punxsutawney and most of the east coast, caught a glimpse of the groundhog’s shadow, indicating six more weeks of winter. Happy Groundhog Day!

Tradition has it that if Punxsutawney Phil emerges from Gobbler’s Knob—on February 2 and sees his shadow, winter will continue for 6 more weeks across the United States. No shadow, then spring temperatures will arrive soon.
