MySpace.com to layoff 400 workers or 30-percent of its workforce

400 layoffs have been announced for MySpace.com. The company, which is owned by Rupert Murdoch, made the announcement yesterday. The layoffs account for roughly 30% of the myspace.com workforce.

CEO Owen Van Natta said “I understand these changes are painful for many. They are also necessary for the long-term health and culture of MySpace. Our intent is to return to an environment of innovation that is centered on our user and our product.”
