Keith Brooks Payne

Keith Brooks Payne age 24, of Elmira, NY. He was born February 26, 1985 in Elmira to Randall Brooks and Ruby Payne and passed away Saturday, June 13, 2009, unexpectedly.

He was predeceased by his mother, Ruby Hutchinson; grandparents, Frederick Payne, Barbara G. Brown and Earline Brooks; 3-month-old daughter, Kenya Payne.

Keith is survived by his sons, Isiah Payne and Jacob Cook; significant other, Summer Cook; father, Randall Brooks of Binghamton, NY; brothers, Emanuel (Payne) Blair of Elmira, David Holmes of Binghamton NY, Jovon (U.S. Army) Clinton Brooks of Elmira and Randall Brooks, Jr. of Elmira; sisters, Jean Hutchinson and Alecia Brooks; special aunts, Val Haynes of Elmira, Crissy Brown of Elmira, Cheryl Wilson of Rochester, NY and Andera Myers of TX; grandparents, Eddie and Veronica Brooks of Elmira.

He is also survived by several aunts, uncles, nieces, cousins and many friends.

Keith will be sadly missed and in the memory of all those that loved and knew him as he touched all of our hearts. We are all saddened that we lost him at a young age, but in our hearts we are relieved to know he is in a better place. Rest in peace our dear son, father, brother, uncle, nephew and friend.

Family and friends are invited to visit Walter J. Kent Funeral Home, 858 Lake St. at Washington Ave., Elmira on Monday, June 22nd, from 12 to 1 p.m. His funeral and committal service will follow at 1 p.m. Minister George Campbell will officiate. Interment will be in Woodlawn Cemetery at the convenience of the family. Keith’s family gives a special thank you to his aunt Val Haynes for all her support.
