Joseph Edward Duncan III entered a guilty plea to the kidnap, rape and killing of 10-year-old Anthony Martinez of Beaumont in 1997. Duncan’s plea deal will keep him from getting the death penalty in the case he already faces death and six life sentences in Idaho for killing a boy, kidnapping his sister and killing three members of their family.
