You’ve probably seen the commercial. General Motors is offering a satisfaction guarantee to eligible buyers of new Chevrolet, Buick, GMC and Cadillac vehicles. It’s their attempt to capture consumers as GM reinvents itself.
The guarantee allows customers to return their vehicle to their dealer between 31 and 60 days of purchase and receive a refund of the purchase price for the vehicle. You have to be current on your payments, and the vehicle can’t have more than 4,000 miles.

The announcement is part of a larger May the Best Car Win marketing campaign. GM wants auto buyers to be as confident in its vehicles as it is. The company is encouraging consumers to compare its cars head-to-head. It’s a bold move.
Bob Lutz, the GM’s vice chairman, believes this will be an important move in helping the company recover, and repay its government-backed debt, a mere $50 billion dollars.
