‘Mad Money’ host Jim Cramer hurts CNBC’s credibility– he’s no Suze Orman

“The Daily Show” host Jon Stewart has gone to the video files to highlight some of the bad advice given by CNBC hosts — Thursday night, he went up against “Mad Money” host Jim Cramer. In the midst of a difficult economy, CNBC has promoted Cramer’s show as a leading source for financial information. One promotional spot tells viewers, “When you don’t know what to do, don’t panic. Jim Cramer’s got your back.”

The clip above shows part of Cramer’s interview on “The Daily Show,” defending several months of dubious advice. Click here to see more of Cramer’s exchange with Jon Stewart. Some were from a web-only interview Cramer did in 2006, revealing ethical lapses in Cramer’s financial past and prompting Stewart to declare, “I want the Jim Cramer on CNBC to protect me from that Jim Cramer.”
